Easy Garden is a do-it-yourself-er modular raised bed garden kit. Its branding needed to be friendly and a little feminine. I chose a cool brown, a vibrant green and a soft pink for the solid 3 color logo. The Y in easy is meant to double as the stem and leaf of the flower and could have been used for stand alone areas where the full logo was not needed. I also created a one color outline for solid black or white printing, as well as a 4 color with a gradient in the flower, should we need something a bit more detailed.
Box and Ad
As a DIY product, the packaging also needed to show the product in use as well as the ease of assembly. The box itself was designed to contain one full kit and be light enough for the average consumer to lift, as well as ship on pallets. The long side was used to show a full four color picture of the garden kit set up and in bloom. Complete with QR codes to downloadable instructions, the box performed many duties.
While in production, we ran a few ads in DIY magazines and home and garden catalogs. The one shown was run around Mother's Day as a great way to capitolize on the season and our customer base.
This trifold was a perfect stand alone marketing piece and could also be displayed in the aisles with the product. With easy to read diagrams and finished glamour shots, the product was able to shine.
